Basic Guitar Course

there are 20 lessons are  drafted for this Guitar Course, one lesson a week in manner, An average person will take approximately 6 month to complete it with dedicated practice.

All the lessons have written materials and video explanation also there are additional video for practice as it is in lesson 1 & 2.


 

BASIC LESSONS

Lesson 1: introduction to course, parts of guitar, standard tuning, and note identification over fret-board  Part-2: finger gym 1st, and 1st finger picking exercise.

Lesson 2: musical terms: note, scale, chromatic scale, diatonic scale; C major scale first position, C major scale on single string 5th & 2nd, main chords C major & A minor  Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes.

Lesson 3: C major scale in two octaves, 1st and 2nd position of C major scale over fret-board, sub-dominant and dominant chords of C major scale i.e. F major chord, G major chord, popular progression of chords 1.5.6.4  Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes.

Lesson 4: G major scale its elements, G major scale in two octave on 1st position, G major scale on single string 6th & 3rd , tuning of guitar by reference sound A=440 Hz, main chords G major & E minor.  Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes.

Lesson 5: G major & E minor scale in two octaves, 1st and 2nd position of G major scale over fret-board, sub-dominant and dominant chords of G major scale i.e. C major chord, D major chord, popular progression of chords 6.4.1.5, Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes.

Lesson 6: D major & B minor scale, All chords of D major scale D, Em, Fm#, G, A, Bm, Cdim#;  Part-2: practice of scale with help of hindi song.

Lesson 7: Harmonisation of scale D,  Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes.

Lesson 8: A major & F# minor scale, All chords of A major scale i.e. A, Bm, Cm#, D, E, Fm#, Gdim#;  Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes & songs.

Lesson 9: E major & C# minor scale, All chords of E major scale i.e. E, Fm#, Gm#, A, B, Cm#, Ddim#; F major scale and four important chords of F major. Part-2: practice of scale with help of tunes & songs.

Lesson 10: Different shapes of chords over fret-board, All shapes of chords moving over fret-board, and practice related,

Lesson 11: Understanding 7th, 9th, sus 2, sus 4 chords and Major 7th chords and practice related.

SOME ADVANCED TOPICS

Lesson 12: Introduction to Pentatonic scale and Pentatonic Blues scale, C major / A minor pentatonic on first two position.

Lesson 13: G major / E minor pentatonic scale, all possible position of G major / E minor pentatonic over fret-board. (Pentatonic fret playing)

Lesson 14: Introduction Rock music & Power chords.

Lesson 15: Fret playing (mastering fret-board) in diatonic.

Lesson 16: Leftover scales of diatonic and all chords.(F major/ D minor, Eb major/ C minor, Db major/ Bb minor )

IMPROVISATION

Lesson 17: How can we figure-out key, chord, tab and rhythm pattern of Popular songs/ Worship songs/ Hindi songs. (Practice:1)

Lesson 18: How can we figure-out key, chord, tab and rhythm pattern of Popular songs/ Worship songs/ Hindi songs. (Practice:2)

Lesson 19: How can we figure-out key, chord, tab and rhythm pattern of Popular songs/ Worship songs/ Hindi songs. (Practice:3)

Lesson 20: How can we figure-out key, chord, tab and rhythm pattern of Popular songs/ Worship songs/ Hindi songs. (Practice:4)

*CONCLUSION 

 


 

 If One goes through these lessons according to training manner then he/she would be able to-

1. Fully understand guitar and its music concepts from very beginning,
2. Will learn all kinds of popular scales including, pentatonic scales.
3. Play and understand different kinds of chords played on guitar i.e. major, minor, 7th, 9th, sus2, sus4, add, dim, and power chords, bar chords etc. you will learn how chords are formed.
4. Learn all popular rhythms used in western songs as well as Bollywood songs.
5. figure-out scale (key) and chords and rhythm pattern for much of popular songs/ worship songs/ Bollywood songs, alone.
6. Understand basics of western music theory as well as reading and writing of music notations / staff notions and tabulation (tab).
7. And above all, this will be base of solid ground in music, would possess basic theoretical knowledge of western music, and of guitar, would be able to understand music language, style, and all other terms used on You-tube and elsewhere in music/ guitar tutorials, can also go ahead in music.

      I have first two free lesson .. and you can experiance my teaching style and suitability for your learning .. clearing doubt has its limitation in distance courses so once again you have to use your mind further in that area..
